Description : Villa Le Maschere, majestic construction iconografically testified since 1585, immersed in the quiet of its 18 hectares secular park , realized under the project of Giuseppe Poggi, the same who designed in Florence Viali dei Colli and Piazzale Michelangelo. The panoramic position with a 360° view over the Bilancino lake and the sweet Hills of Mugello with vineyards, olive groves, chestnuts and oaks forests, completes a really magic and privileged frame. There are recognizable two distinct facades : the first dated second half of the sixteenth Century , and the second go back to the end of 1600, work of the Maestro Giovan Battista Foggini. Inside innumerable works of art from which the unbelievable majolica from Tito and Galileo Chini. Names of high nobility used to live, or to be hosts in the Villa, from whom Marchesi Gerini, Caterina de’ Medici, Antinori, Della Gherardesca, Borghese, Torlonia and many Others. And it is wonderful to see their escutcheons finely restored in the wide honour Court, now luminous and elegant hall.
